Bandai Namco Entertainment announced today that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will also be coming to PC. The aerial combat title will be launched in 2017, and its story has been penned by Sunao Katabuchi, who also wrote the storylines for both Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.

Ace Combat 7 will return to the setting used by earlier titles in the franchise, the fictional planet Strangereal. Fans of the series will probably welcome this change with open arms, as Ace Combat games set in the real world had a lukewarm reception.
