Al Hope, Creative Director for Alien: Isolation, took to Twitter today to confirm that a sequel to the beloved horror game is in early development.

The first person horror title had its tenth year anniversary today, so this news is very welcome indeed, as fans have been wondering whether Creative Assembly would try their hand at the Alien universe again or not, considering the storied developer has been fairly busy building Total War games (the less we talk about Hyenas, the better). Hopefully the new title can recapture the magic of the original, which is still talked about fondly any time people bring up first person survival horror gameplay done right.
