Mode 7 announced today that Codebyfire‘s Anno inspired settlement building game The Colonists will get a Steam Early Access launch on November 9th.

The Colonists tasks us with controlling a team of robots who must settle an untamed planet, preparing it for the arrival of their masters. We’ll have to advance from the Stone Age to the Space Age, building infrastructure for our colony, harvesting natural resources, setting up farming and food production, and even engaging in hostile or pacific relationships with other settlements.

According to developers Codebyfire, The Colonists will feature a singleplayer campaign, a free-play mode, and both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.
