Activision announced today that the latest entry in their flagship shooter franchise, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will not be getting a beta test on PC. The game will have a beta test on home consoles, however, with Sony’s PS4 getting early access in October 14.
Here at Gaming on PC we can’t understand the thought process behind this kind of decision, as the PC platform is the one that benefits the most from user testing before release. Activision and Infinity Ward haven’t offered any explanation so far, though one can expect that their reasons could be similar to Respawn Entertainment‘s when they decided not to host a PC Technical Test for Titanfall 2.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare comes out on November 4, 2016, and Activision is already taking preorders for it.
