Funcom revealed today that Mighty Kingdom‘s upcoming cooperative hack and slash extravaganza Conan Chop Chop will miss its February 25th release date, instead aiming for a Q2 2020 launch window.
Mighty Kingdom originally intended to release the game last year, but they got an overwhelming amount of fan feedback requesting online co-op functionality and had to delay the game to February 2020 in order to implement it. This second delay is actually related to the first, as the developers want to use the extra time to make sure Conan Chop Chop‘s online mode works as expected.
We are almost at the finish line. The additional time is to ensure that the game is optimized for online multiplayer, and to give us a chance to add some polish here and there. It’s basically all about getting that final Chop in place. This isn’t merely a one-chop game. This is Conan Chop Chop, and that necessitates extra attention to detail.
