Looks like we are starting 2019 on a high note, as Reddit sleuth u/Trenchman discovered today that Erik Wolpaw has returned to Valve after a relatively short stint as a Psychonauts 2 writer. Trenchman first discovered evidence of Mr. Wolpaw’s return to the Bellevue-based giant on Artifact‘s credits sequence, and then decided to ask Gabe Newell himself via email, getting a succint “He’s back” answer.

I’ve also emailed Mr. Newell looking for some sort of confirmation, and the response I got was an emphatic “Yes”.

This news bodes well for anyone hoping to see more single-player focused titles from Valve.
