Fatshark Announces Vermintide 2, Coming to PC and Consoles

Fatshark announced today that they are working on a sequel to Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide. No release date has been offered, but the developers have confirmed that Vermintide 2 will be available on PC (Steam) as well as consoles.

The original title, released on October 23, 2015, sold over 1.5 million copies, making it a huge success for the independent developer. Excellent post-launch support and interesting seasonal events seem to have been the key to Vermintide‘s success, so hopefully this trend will continue with its sequel.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Vermintide. It’s time for players to return to the memorable first-person co-op experience with intense world class melee action.

Set in the dark and grim Warhammer Fantasy world, you must join forces with up to three other players to tackle the endless hordes of enemies. Equipped with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, you and your team are all that stands between utter defeat and victory – and if you fall so will the Empire.

More details about Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be revealed via a livestream on October 17, 7PM CET / 10AM PST.
