Just when I thought Devolver Digital couldn’t outdo themselves, they’ve just announced a pot-growing tycoon game titled Weedcraft Inc. As the name implies, we’ll be in charge of a business that grows and sells legal marihuana in America, something that to my knowledge, is a first in the videogame industry.

Vile Monarch (creators of the wonderfully quirky Oh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator) is in charge of developing this groundbreaking title, which is due out in 2019.

As it’s usually the case with tycoon-style games, Weedcraft Inc will force us to carefully manage our resources in order to progress, making complex decisions at every turn, while at the same time keeping our eye on the competition, politicians and cops looking to further their careers the second we make a wrong turn.

An important, controversial topic presented in an insightful and detailed manner, Weedcraft Inc presents a challenge to those would rule the reefer offering a series of diverse scenarios and unique characters to work with (or around) as your budding empire grows. Whether you choose to hobnob with politicians, pay off the po-po, fight for medical marijuana rights or work the legal system, it’s all in the name of the sticky icky and your cutthroat corporate profits.
