Deck Nine Games is working on Life is Strange: Before the Storm, a prequel to DONTNOD‘s excellent adventure series due for release later this year. The new episodic title will feature three chapters and it is set in Arcadia Bay, three years before the events of the main game. Players will control Chloe Price as she forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber, a popular girl who seems destined for success but is haunted by a family secret.

The first chapter in this new series will be released on August 31, 2017, and the complete season will retail for US$ 16.99. A Digital Deluxe edition will also be available as a US$ 9.99 upgrade, including a bonus episode, an outfit pack and a mixtape mode.
