The developer intends to use the extra time to further polish the game so it can reach the high standards their fans expect and deserve, according to the statement published on their website (and shared below).

Hopefully this delay will work as intended, and Crystal Dynamics will be able to deliver a title that lives up to the hype (and the studio’s track record).
