I have something to confess: I loved both Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare games. Sure, they might not have been exactly the kind of thing people were hoping to get from the franchise, but you can’t say that PopCap didn’t try anything new with their flagship IP. Where am I going with this? Well, today Electronic Arts revealed that Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a thing, and it’s out in a sort of Early Access type deal (called Founder’s Edition).
People who buy the game from September 4-30 will not only get to play early (the Standard Edition drops on October 18th) but will also get to pay less, as the Founder’s Edition costs US$29.99 (the Standard Edition will retail for US$39.99). Pretty neat, huh? Origin Access Premier members will also be able to play starting today.

Jump into Giddy Park from Dave Manor or Zomboss HQ and squad up or battle it out with friends in this social region. Head to the shooting gallery, ride the Ferris wheel, tickle the keys on the giant piano, or dive straight into combat.
CUSTOMIZE EVERY CHARACTER
The age-old battle between plants and zombies is about to get personal with 20 fully customizable character classes. Play as new plant characters, including mysterious Night Cap, fiery Snapdragon, and team players Oak and Acorn, in addition to original favorites. On the zombie side, choose between classic fun-dead characters or new brain biters – gnaw-rly 80s Action Hero, boogie-bolting Electric Slide, or team player Space Cadet. Deck each character out in the wildest customizations yet and even put your stamp on success with custom Victory Slabs for every vanquish. Boom!
Aside from the cheaper price and early access to the game, Founders will also get exclusive rewards for the first four weeks every time they log-in each week.
