Microsoft Studios announced today that ReCore will get a free 30 minutes trial on the Windows 10 Store. Gamers interested in purchasing Keiji Inafune’s latest title after trying the demo will be able to continue where they left off, as their trial progress will not be lost once they transition to the full game. This limited version of the game is available right now, and players should note that the download size clocks at a hefty 10gb.
The developers will also release a huge patch today, promising to fix most of the issues reported by players so far:
We’ve continued to get great feedback as you play ReCore, and we have more good news to share. On October 5th, we’ll be releasing a significant update to ReCore for Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Windows 10.
In this update, you will experience decreased loading times, see audio and visual improvements, and notice improvements to issues you may have experienced with waypoints, achievement tracking, collision locations, checkpoints and respawn points.
ReCore‘s critical reception was mixed, so many players probably skipped the title until they could get it for a better price, or try it out by themselves. Releasing a trial is a very good move on Microsoft’s part, as it will let people decide if they want to spend US$ 40 on this title or not.
