Romancing SaGa 2 Coming to PC Next Week

Square Enix has just revealed that Romancing SaGa 2 will be playable on modern systems next week, as it will get a PC, PlayStation 4/Vita, Switch and Xbox One re-release on December 15, 2017.

This beloved RPG was originally released in 1993 as a Super Famicon (SNES) title. JRPG fans will be able to dictate the destiny of the Varennes Empire as they control several generations of rulers locked in battle against the Seven Heroes. A dynamic freeform scenario system lets us manage the actions of a variety of protagonists in their bid to reshape the empire, creating a different experience for every player.

New features included in this re-release:

  • New character classes to provide added depth and tactical possibilities to gameplay and combat scenarios
  • Original dungeons which will provide four new dungeons that take a deeper look into the mysteries of the Seven Heroes
  • “New Game+” function which allows players to carry over character attributes and items into a brand new game, enabling them to enjoy the story and obtain items they may have missed, or save lands and companions that were sacrificed originally
