SNK‘s Samurai Shodown reboot is now an Epic Games Store exclusive, less than a year after the game’s director claimed he’d rejected an exclusivity deal from an unnamed PC download sales platform.

There’s still no PC release date for the latest iteration in the Samurai Shodown franchise (the game got a console launch in June of last year), and honestly, considering how poorly exclusives of these type have done in the past, this will probably seal the franchise’s fate on our platform of choice. Hopefully the amount of cash SNK got was worth it, as I really doubt Samurai Shodown will have a healthy playerbase on PC (and for the sake of the people that buy it on Epic, I also hope that the developers implement crossplay with the console/Stadia versions).
