Devolver Digital announced today that Croteam‘s Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope will hit Steam Early Access on October 17th.

It is the period of the first Mental War. Earth’s defense forces are crumbling under the hordes of the vicious Mental. He managed to break the will of many nations by destroying the ancient shrines of the domestic people. A fearless EDF general, Sam ‘Serious’ Stone, is leading the resistance from the battlecruiser ‘BC Saratoga’ in a desperate attempt to save the galaxy.

Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope will cost US$ 39.99 during its Early Access phase, and the developers plan to raise the price after each large content update. The full game should be out in 2017. Right now, the title only supports the HTC Vive headset, but Croteam intends to add Oculus Rift support once the Oculus Touch controller comes out.
