Capcom has just revealed that Street Fighter V will get an Arcade Edition update on January 16, 2018. As usual, this new release will include both the content featured in the first release of Street Fighter V, along with brand new game modes (Arcade Mode and Extra Battle Mode) and enhancements such as new V-Trigger moves, a Gallery, and a completely redesigned UI.
Gamers who already own Street Fighter V will receive all of this new content for free via a Steam update when Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition releases.
Newcomers to SFV will be able to purchase the Arcade Edition for just US$ 39.99, and their patience will be rewarded with two sets of DLC characters (Season 1 and Season 2) which won’t be available for free for current Street Fighter V players (although they could purchase them using Fight Money or through microtransactions).
