Thunder Lotus Games, creators of the beautiful action title Jotun, have just launched the Kickstarter campaign for their next game, a horror metroidvania named Sundered. The developer’s latest opus has a tentative release date of July 2017, so backers won’t have to wait a lot after pledging in order to get their game, something strange in the world of crowdfunding.

Sundered is a horrifying fight for survival and sanity, a hand-drawn epic from the creators of Jotun. You play Eshe, a wanderer in a ruined world, trapped in ever-changing caverns teeming with eldritch horrors. Harness the power of corrupted relics to defeat gigantic bosses, at the cost of your humanity. Resist or Embrace. Coming PlayStation®4, Windows, Mac, and Linux in July 2017.

The Kickstarter campaign runs from today, January 16, to February 16, and gamers interested in snagging a copy of the latest title from the developers of Jotun for a discounted price should consider the Sundered Core tier, which costs just CA$ 20 (about 15 US$) and includes a digital copy of the game, plus closed beta access to the development build.
