Focus Home Interactive has just released a new trailer for Deck13‘s upcoming action RPG The Surge, showcasing the game’s tactical combat. In this sci-fi Souls inspired action title, players must select their targets carefully, as attacking specific limbs will let them loot and equip new weaponry and exosuit upgrades.

Positioning and speed are key in The Surge, and players will have to use their exosuit’s enhanced movement to dodge, block and jump over enemy attacks, while at the same time carefully managing their stamina meter. A modified industrial drone will assist us as we explore the CREO facility, so we’ll never be alone in our journey.

The Surge will be out on May 16.
