Deck 13‘s excellent The Surge will get a free demo next week, as revealed on Twitter today. It seems that the action RPG title didn’t exactly lit the Steam charts on fire when it was released back in May (SteamSpy reports that less than seventy thousand copies were sold) so the developers are trying to raise awareness with this demo build.

At any rate, here at Gaming on PC we applaud Deck 13‘s decision, as too few titles get demos nowadays. Hopefully players who were in the fence will agree with our own thoughts about The Surge and decide to purchase the German studio’s latest creation after checking it out thanks to this demo.
