Playtonic‘s highly anticipated 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee just got a new trailer showcasing some of the wacky characters that players will meet in the game once it’s out in 2017.

The star of the show is definitely the Shovel Knight, making a cameo after starring on his own game.

Developed by a team of Rare veterans, Yooka-Laylee seems poised to bring back the glory days of 3D platformers such as the beloved Banjo-Kazooie series. Kickstarter backers who pledged £20 or more can download and play a custom built Toybox designed to give them a taste of the full version’s gameplay without spoiling story details.
